Store Closing

After 9 wonderful years, I have decided to close Paper-Doll.com and try my hand at another adventure. It has been an amazing journey and I want to thank everyone who has supported Paper-Doll over the past 9 years. I couldn’t have done it without the support of my amazing customers – thank you!

The store officially closed on December 31st of 2007.

For the past year I have been volunteering at AC-AF, an organization that works within African communities to provide a better, more sustainable future for AIDS orphans. Closing Paper-Doll allows me the opportunity to focus more of my energy on this, and other AIDS related programs. For more information on AC-AF, please visit our site.

But not to worry, this does not spell the complete end of Paper-Doll.com. I will still use the site to showcase amazing independent fashion and up-and-coming photographers. Look for a designer database, fashion blog, suggested shopping links and special promotions in early 2008.

Of course I know a lot of you may have questions about Paper Dollars, returns, and other issues, so please refer to the FAQ below.

FAQ

When will Paper-Doll.com officially close?

Paper-Doll.com will stop selling clothes on December 31st 2007. No sales or returns can be accepted after December 31st.

I placed an order just before the store closed - will I receive it?

Of course! While we have closed the store, our office is still open and we are busy packaging and shipping the last of our orders. Please be patient as shipping is delayed due to the large amount of orders that came in over the holidays.

Paper-Doll.com is my only online shopping source – what will I do now?

Well thank you! That’s kind of you. But don’t worry; we’re going to provide you with links to our favourite stores on the internet that will fill your fashion needs now that the Paper-Doll.com store is closed.

What will the owner do once the store closes?

When the store closes, I plan to travel to continue my work with AC-AF, with whom I plan to travel to Tanzania later on in 2008 and help with the launching of our pilot program that will work with AIDS orphans in Dar es Salaam.

Thanks to the wonders of the internet though – I will still use Paper-Doll.com as a tool to promote and showcase independent clothing designers and young photographers. I love fashion too much to walk away from it completely!

I have a question you haven’t answered here...

If you have any other questions, comments, or concerns, please email me and I will respond directly.

Thank you kindly.
