Paper Doll, an independently run company, was formed in the summer of 1998. What started as a side project amongst friends quickly grew into Canada's leading online clothing boutique. For nine years Paper-Doll.com provided stylish shoppers from all around the world with the best independent designers North America has to offer. Praise for Paper-Doll.com has been extensive, with coverage in ELLE, elleGirl, Lucky Magazine, Sportswear International, LouLou, Wish, Much Music and many more.

In January 2008, Paper-Doll.com closed the boutique portion of the store. (For more information about the store closing, click here). Paper-Doll.com now serves as a information hub about independent fashion, outstanding online boutiques, and fashion news.

We would like to thank all the wonderful customers who supported the store over the 9 years. We hope that you still frequent and enjoy the site in its new form.

When you find an item that you like, click the "add to cart" button. Continue shopping until you are ready to complete the purchase. Click on the "X item in cart" button (left column). Make sure the items sizes and quantity are correct. If there is a mistake, you can remove or edit in the cart page. Once the order is confirmed, follow the instructions to move through the shopping cart.

CONFIRMATION

Once you enter in your address and credit card information and press "submit" an email confirmation will be sent to you. This will have your order number, your complete order, and your shipping address. Please print this document and save it for your records. If there are any mistakes on the receipt, please email us (store@paper-doll.com) right away.

METHOD OF PAYMENTS

Paper-Doll.com accepts all major credit cards, including Visa, Mastercard and American Express. For customers who do not have credit cards, Paper Doll now accepts money orders or PAYPAL payments. If you would like to pay with either of these methods, please email us with the items you want to purchase (size, colour, amount), your address (for tax purposes), and the method of shipping you prefer.

TAXES

If you are ordering from within Ontario, GST & PST will be added to your total. If you are ordering from Nova Scotia, New Brunswick or Newfoundland, HST will be added to your total. If you are ordering from any other Canadian province, 7% will be added to your total. NO TAX WILL BE ADDED TO AMERICAN ORDERS.

PRICING

All prices quoted in US Dollars are approximate and depend on the USD/CND exchange rate at the time. All articles will be sold at the quoted Canadian price. Prices listed on the page and in the shopping cart do not include shipping, handling or taxes. As you check out you will be able to choose the shipping option which best suites you. Taxes will be added according to your location. The final price (including applicable taxes, shipping and exchange rate) will be displayed prior to entering your credit card number and will also be sent to you in the confirmation receipt/email.

STOCK AVAILABILITY

Paper Doll will keep its stock listing up to date. If, however, stock availability on your order has changed, we will email you with a notification and a time frame on a restocking date.

WARRANTY

Paper Doll sells their clothing/accessories/records 'as is' from the distributor. Detailed descriptions (ie material and measurements) are posted on the page for all items. Should you have more questions in regard to products, you may email us prior to ordering at store@paper-doll.com.

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS

Paper Doll processes both Canadian and American credit card orders. Due to credit card fraud, we can no longer accept international credit card orders. We can however accept payments by money orders or PayPal. For more information on how to place an international order, please contact us using the "contact" tab.

Products shipped within Canada are shipped via Canada Post and break down as follows
1. Standard Shipping ($5 CAN) - This is the most economical method of shipping with an expected arrival of 5-10 business days from date the product is shipped.
2. Express Shipping ($10 CAN) - This method will have your order to your door in approximately 1-3 business days from day product is shipped.

Products shipped to the United States are shipped via Canada Post.
1. US Air (~$7.50US) Shipped via Canada Post Air and will arrive 5-14 business days from when order is shipped.
2. Express Shipping (~$11 US) - This method will have your order to your door in approximately 3-7 business days from day product is shipped.

International orders are shipped via Canada Post International Air with an expected arrival approximately 7-21 days from date of shipment. The cost of an International order is $25 CAN.

All products will be shipped one business day after your order has been placed. (which of course excludes weekends) Shipping times are based on a base case scenario (no problems at customs, or other impending natural disasters).

We hope that we have given you sufficient information regarding our products. Paper Doll regrets that returns can only be processed under the following conditions.

1) You received the wrong order - you have not received the item(s) listed in your confirmation email. (This will be emailed to you after you order.)
2) Wrong size - must be returned via prepaid shipping. (Applicable only to regular priced items.)
3) You are not 100% satisfied with the product - must be returned via prepaid shipping. (Applicable only to regular priced items.)

If any one of the above instances should occur, email us within 5 days of receiving your order. Returned merchandise must arrive back at Paper Doll no more than 20 days from the time you placed your order. All returns must be in 100% new condition, not worn, nor washed and all tags in place. Please ensure returned clothing is packaged safely, as we cannot accept damaged returns. The amount of your exchanged item will be credited towards your next order. Sorry, no refunds. Please note that we do not accept returns or exchanges on sale items, bathing suites, underwear or socks.

Any information that you do submit to Paper Doll will not be disclosed. We will, upon request, add you to our mailing list (mailing list will inform you via email of updates to the site etc.), if you are on the list and wish to be removed, you should email us at mailinglist@paper-doll.com.

Paper Doll will NEVER release, sell, share or exchange any of its customer lists. For more information on privacy, see "security".

Paper Doll uses a guaranteed safe credit card procedure. Through a company known as Internet Secure, the shopper can submit their credit card number without it ever entering the Paper Doll data base.
