Suggested Shopping: Last Chance Sale at House of Spy
We have always been fans of the sweet, playful designs of House of Spy so we're taking full advantage of their "Last Chance Sale". From now until November 6th you can save an additional 25% off all House of Spy and Beatrice Holloway sale merchandise with the coupon code "last". And if that weren't reason enough to indulge in a little shopping therapy, once the promo ends, these sale items will no longer be available.
Suggested Shopping: Elroy Re-issues Past Favourites
Lately, I've been watching styles online until they eventually sell out and I regret not moving on them quicker. (Like the Irregular Choice Wedges and the Acne Atacomas). If any of you did that with eco-designer Elroy, we have good news! They have re-issued favourite styles from previous seasons and are offering them all at hugely discounted prices.
I have spoken about how much I admire the work of Sonja den Elzen for Thieves in the past. The Spring/Summer '09 collection was so perfectly executed, that I didn't expect to ever see a future Thieves collection that I loved as much. Thankfully, I was wrong. Sonja continues to evolve and progress each season, and has given us a collection for Fall/Winter '09 that is daring and bold, but in a very clean and sophisticated way.
I am instantly reminded of my Grandmother whenever I see anything yarn related. She was a knitting pro - a skill I wish I'd been open to learning from her. So, I can't help but have a soft spot for Heather Goldberg's yarn and crystal designs for Shadowplay. Heather creates ethereal, one of a kind, delicate knit necklaces adorned with crystals.
While I'm not a big fan of the (hair & make-up) styling of the models, the clothing from The Twenty Ten's Season two is amazing. I love the contrast between structure and draping - both elements done perfectly!
It has to be the grey clouds that have been hanging over Berlin for weeks that have me dreaming of adding florals and pretty colours to my otherwise monochromatic wardrobe. And now that I've had a sneak peak at 80%20's new Spring/Summer 2010 collection, winter cannot come and go soon enough. The collection still has all the elements we've come to love and expect from designer CeCe Chin - unique, fashion forward, wearable designs (and of course the much copied hidden wedge heel). This season, CeCe has incorporated a feminine, playful touch with searsucker and Liberty prints.
