Designer Spotlight: Belle Sauvage

Not for the faint of heart, Belle Sauvage's Spring/Summer '09 collection is a celebration of bright colours and bold graphical prints. The UK label is made up of Argentinian Virginia Ferreira and Luxembourgish Christian Neuman, and fittingly was founded in 2006 at the Fashion and Textile Museum in London.

Designer Spotlight: Djuna Paris

It's that time of year when we start looking at Spring Collections. But, the weather is still cold and dreary here in Toronto, and I'm still in full-on winter mode. And really - the Djuna Paris Winter collection is too beautiful not to write about.

Designer Spotlight: Liza Rietz

Lately I've been really attracted to very structured clothing, and no one works with structure quite like Portland designer Liza Rietz. Her collection is stunning - the amount of detail and design makes each piece a work of art. And although Liza's work is highly architectural, the look is still feminine and fully wearable.

Designer Spotlight: Cocotte

I recently discovered Cocotte because of the amazing African printed fabric used in their Spring 08 collection. Their Fall/Winter collection is just as beautiful, though a bit more subdued. I can't wait to see what is to come for this Barcelona based label.
