Bows and sequins will forever be near and dear to me. No matter how far from the graces they may fall in the fashion world, I will always love them. It feels as though the fashion world is truly embracing trousers this season. The choices are wide and varied, from high waisted, wide leg, tapered...At the forefront of this movement is Alex & Eli. This New York based label is dedicated to creating "intelligent suiting for women".
The SS '09 collection from Amsterdam based label Lew is sublime. Design duo Kim Leemans and Merel Wicker present a perfect balance of sugary pastels and muted beiges in patchwork fabrics and wispy layers.
Born less than a year ago - Sibling is taking menswear to a whole new level. Their amazing knits are bold and cheeky. Sequinsed neon camouflage twin sets? Really, what more do we need to say?
Stunning handcrafted shoes courtesy of Red by Wolves. As a nod to craftsmanship of the past, Red by Wolves uses old English methods of building shoes to create high quality fashion forward footwear. Total luxury and out of my price range, but lovely to look at.
On the heels of Berlin Fashion Week, it seems fitting to profile German label Boessert/Schorn. Design duo Sonia Boessert & Brigitte Schorn have created a name for themselves with their signature draping and voluminous shapes. The Fall Winter '08 collection is amazing - I love that it is relaxed and totally wearable, yet still unique and beautifully feminine.
