Stunning handcrafted shoes courtesy of Red by Wolves. As a nod to craftsmanship of the past, Red by Wolves uses old English methods of building shoes to create high quality fashion forward footwear. Total luxury and out of my price range, but lovely to look at.
On the heels of Berlin Fashion Week, it seems fitting to profile German label Boessert/Schorn. The Fall Winter '08 collection is amazing - I love that it is relaxed and totally wearable, yet still unique and beautifully feminine.
Etsy has revealed another gem - Hoakon/Helga bags. All the bags are made from repurposed leather jackets and come in a variety of shapes and sizes. Of course, I love the bow detailing...
Based on a previous post on the dropped crotch trouser we know that many of you despise the silhouette. But, we're happy that the dropped crotch is still making waves this season! Mary Meyers plays with this (and other) new shape in her Spring/Summer '09 collection - and we think it looks great.
Not for the faint of heart, Belle Sauvage's Spring/Summer '09 collection is a celebration of bright colours and bold graphical prints. The UK label is made up of Argentinian Virginia Ferreira and Luxembourgish Christian Neuman, and fittingly was founded in 2006 at the Fashion and Textile Museum in London.
I am inexplicably drawn to film and photography that explores the transition between youth and adulthood - which is probably why I am such a big fan of New York based artist Olivia Malone. Olivia's work captures the fleeting freedom and newfound independence of real life subjects - artists, designers, It girls, musicians and friends.
