Tomorrow I am moving to Berlin! I'm arriving just in time to catch the end of Berlin Fashion Week and Bread and Butter. Very exciting! Posting will likely continue to be slow while I get situated, but I'm looking forward to getting back into it. There are so many amazing Fall/Winter '09 collections I'm dying to post about!
Lately, I've been wearing multiple mismatched chains. My attempt at the look fails in comparison to Sidvintage. Designer Nanci Bennett uses deadstock/vintage chains and clasps to create glorious, hectic pieces.
Times are tough and we're all a little more hesitant to part with our hard earned dollars these days. So, in perfect timing, Oak has launched a lower priced counterpart to their main store - A.OK. This new concept store stocks "affordable" fashion, with most items falling in the $100 or less category.
Spanish designer Gemma Degara's AW 09/10 "Sleepless Night" collection is perfection. Everything about it is stunning, from the deep blue and green jewel tones, the beautiful draping and the lovely illustrations by Sandra Suy.
Jeffrey Campbell continues to tempt me. I can't count how many styles I've fallen in love with this season - but resisted because my wallet is off limits while I save for a big move. This morning I stumbled upon The Tick. I want!
In the age of shrinking ad revenue for magazines, the print industry is diminishing in size. Thanks to the wonders of the internet though, there has been a proliferation of online magazine, including my latest discovery, teenminutes. This Indonesian e-publication features interviews with some of our favourite designers, including Sabrina Goh and Limedrop.
I've recently noticed a few brave ladies - like Queen Michelle and Zana - rocking underwear as outwear, and I have to say, I like it! So, I was happy to stumble across Lonely Hearts' latest collection that features beautiful leather bras and corsets to be worn for the world to see.
