Designer Spotlight: Kloset

Yesterday, I stumbled upon an amazing dress on Sunday Brunch Dress Shop by a label that I had never heard of - Kloset. This led me on a frantic search for more info about them. (Business note to aspiring fashion designers: Choose a label name that can be easily Googled!) I finally found Kloset's Website - and just as I suspected, their collection is absolutely beautiful.

Designer Spotlight: Limedrop

Australia has no shortage of great independent designers. One of my favourite amongst them is Limedrop, a playful men's and women's wear label headed by Clea Garrick and Nathan Price. The current collection (AW'09 - the label is based in Australia) is titled Huntsman and features classics like tartans and cable knits presented in new edgy silhouettes.

Pour La Victoire confuses me. While certain styles scream office footwear circa the mid 90s, the majority of the collection leaves me with a severe case of the wants. Take the Ella Zip Ruffle Sandals for example...

Since first seeing the I Clothing Spring Summer '09 lookbook many months ago, I have been dreaming about the Agnes dress - a pink silk number with angled overlay detailing on the shoulder. So amazing! And now - finally - their SS'09 pieces are available in their online boutique!

Designer Spotlight: Elroy

With today being Earth Day, it is only fitting that we spotlight one of our favourite eco-labels - Elroy. Designer Leanne McElroy uses only sustainable and socially responsible fabrics and the collection is locally produced in Leanne's hometown, Vancouver. Known for modern, clean designs with beautiful detailing, Elroy is a label to watch.
