Designer Interview: Al & Alicia

What I love about Al & Alicia is that it strikes a nice balance between feminine and masculine, hard and soft, laid back and dressed up. It isn’t a label that sits in the middle of all of these things. Instead it brings inspiration from both sides to create uncomplicated and truly wearable clothes. Designer Interview: diepo

diepo's SS'11 collection has a magic power few others possess. Every season I pour over hundreds of lookbooks and every season there are many absolutely beautiful collections. But few, on first sight, make me gasp in delight before flipping through repeatedly confessing my love for each and every piece. diepo's SS'11 collection is perfection. And to my delight, designers Justine and Kristin reveal that they have great, quirky sense of humors, making me love the label even more.

Designer Interview: Ella Peru

I only discovered Ella Peru recently; another great addition to the already wonderful roster of great Canadian designers. The current collection is serene and colourful, a perfect match for the hot days and cool nights of the late summer. Designer Interview: Burce Bekrek

Thanks to Paper-Doll, I view hundreds of collections a season. While there are always those that are in a league of their own, it isn't often that I can pick a clear favourite. This season it was easy. I got an email from a young Turkish designer Burce Bekrek introducing me to her first collection. Absolute perfection! I'm waiting with bated breath for the upcoming season. Burce Bekrek was kind enough to participate in our designer interview series.
