Reverie Bio: Ronit Genik, the creative designer behind the emerging label Reverie was born in Israel and moved to New York City at a young age. She always had a flair for fashion and loved dressing up. Ronit would scour local vintage and thrift stores for ideas and was always sewing or knitting her own outfits. She enrolled at Parsons School of Design, and even did a year abroad in Paris, which focused more on couture and self-expression while doing stints at cult labels like Daryl K and TSE. Ronit received a degree in Fashion Design in 2003 and began working immediately for big name brands like Tommy Hilfiger, Laundry, and Liz Claiborne and honing her technical and design skills. After a few years of acquiring design experience, Ronit decided to realize her dream of starting her own clothing line, Reverie, which means to daydream.
The Reverie collection has evolved its own refreshing outlook in an already saturated market. Each collection is inspired by a concept or mood, beautiful fabrics and special details. The Reverie woman is an individual, modern and free spirited who maintains her sense of identity and does not follow the trends. She can be feminine, but is also edgy and likes to mix the two styles together. The Reverie collections focus on unique yet comfortable silhouettes, great details, and innovative fabrics, textures and prints.
