In Love With: Loops Loops Loops
Posted on Dec 15 2008

My obsession with scarves has led me to
Necklush. Their scarves are made from free-form cotton jersey loops that can be styled many different ways.
It's not clear from the site if you can separate strands for a less bulky look - but imagine the possibilities if you can!

I like those, but I agree a little less bulky would be better.

I made one in less than 10 minutes.
Get 1/2 yard of thin Jersey knnit cotton fabric. Make sure it is sold as a wide tube on a bolt. You can find it at Jo-Annes Fabric store.
Mine was $8.99 a yard.
Cut 17 or more 1" strips of this fabric. Gather your strips and stretch them until they curl into "loops"
You can cut more or take less off depending on the "bulk " you want.
Cost: $4.50
Time: approximately 10 minutes or less depending on how fast you can cut and stretch :)
IT sure beats paying $40-65 and waiting for it to arrive!

I don't think they're too bulky. They are a lovely accessory for the winter-spring transition. Statement making and so en vogue!

HEY Jules,
what d you meant by "Cut 17 or more 1" strips of this fabric. " ?
U mean i gotta cut 17 strips which are 1" in width and
sew the 17 pieces together to get a really long strip of
"cotton string" to achieve the look??
